Deadline quickly approaching for Glimmer Train’s Short Story Awards. This is open to any writer who has not yet been published in any print publication with over 5,000 readers. So, if you’re looking for a chance to break in to short fiction in print, check out all the details below.

Short Story Award for New Writers
Deadline: November 30, 2015
Prizes:
1st place wins $1,500 and is presented in Glimmer Train Stories.
2nd place wins $500, or, if chosen for publication, $700.
3rd place wins $300, or, if chosen for publication, $700.
Other considerations:
Open only to writers whose fiction has not appeared in any print publication with a circulation over 5,000. (Writing Guidelines)
Reading fee is $18 per story.
Winners and finalists will be officially announced in the February 1 bulletin, and contacted directly the previous week.
