Things That Matter: Connections, Community & Legacy with Martie McNabb

During this story-sharing experience, you’ll get to know one another through sharing & listening to the stories of the Things we keep, the Things that matter & the Things we’ll leave behind. After the connection building, Martie will show you how this experience can be used as an alternative to a typical book event.

By the end of the experience, attendees will:

  • connect more deeply with their own personal “museum” object(s)
  • connect with others through generously listening to the stories of the Things that matter.
  • re-consider what Legacy truly means.
  • understand how offering a similar story-sharing experience for the attendees at their own book events can build their community of supporters. Why? YOU KNOW! When we exchange stories, we build relationships and community.

Martie McNabb sold her apartment in Brooklyn 7+ years ago and hit the road in her 21-foot campervan (named Brooklyn) to host story-sharing gatherings & interactive art/history exhibitions for individuals, families & organizations all over the country. She’s a legacy artist on a mission to build deeper connections, community & legacy through the stories of the Things that Matter. She’s been written about in the Wall Street Journal & featured in three books. She splits her time between her wife & mom-in-law in Albuquerque and her Mom in Vermont. And when she can she meets her wife, a marriage 30+ years in the making, on the dance floor where they met a lifetime ago. She’s launching a series of multi-author books all about the Things that matter in 2025 or 26.
